Iran aims to become world's third cement producer

Iran's deputy minister for industry has said the Islamic Republic is set to become the world's third-largest cement producer by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2013), Fars news has reported. "We hope that a total of 75 million tonnes of cement will be produced in the country by the yearend; once this happens, Iran will move to the third place from the current fifth among the world cement producers," said Vajihollah Jafari.
