Iran to build second Bushehr power unit with Russia

Iranian foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi has said his country is expected to work on a second power unit at the Bushehr nuclear power plant together with Russia, RIA Novosti has reported. "Under a 1992 Iran-Russia agreement, we have agreed to build nuclear power plants with a capacity of up to 5,000 megawatts in cooperation with Russia," he said. "We hope to start building the second unit with our Russian colleagues," he said.
