Iran says oil revenues dropped 45%
- Iran: Tuesday, January 08 - 2013 at 05:04
Iranian oil minister Rostam Qasemi has told a parliamentary budget committee that the country's oil sales revenues have declined by 45% since last March due to sanctions, and are likely to remain low over the next three months, Reuters has reported. Qasemi has typically played down the impact of Western restrictions on oil sales but he told Iranian MPs yesterday that sales volumes had fallen by 40% over the last nine months while earnings had dropped by 45%, said the spokesman for the budget and planning committee.
