Iran's private oil sector says sanctions 'ineffective'

Iran's Union of Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Products Exporters has said a 15% growth in oil exports by the country's private sector shows the ineffectiveness of the Western sanctions imposed on the country's energy sector, Mehr news has reported. Iran's private oil exports exceeded 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) on average, since June 2012, said the head of the union, Hassan Khosrojerdi.
