Iraq commissions new power plant in Baghdad

Hussein al-Shahristani, the Iraqi deputy prime minister for energy affairs, has announced the opening of a new gas-powered electricity plant in southern Baghdad, Iraq Business has reported. The plant has four 125-megawatt generators and cost $219m to build, said al-Shahristani.
