Iraq's first dry port to open in June

French container transportation and shipping company CMA CGM has announced plans to open an inland terminal in the Iraq's Baghdad Governorate next June. The bonded terminal would give customers the opportunity, for the first time, to custom clear their cargo near Baghdad instead of the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr, the firm said. CMA CGM will exclusively manage and operate the facility, which it said will be the country's only dry port.
