An Italian pavilion at InfraOman 2012

More than ten Italian companies in the industrial sector will participate for the first time at InfraOman 2012, the exhibition for infrastructure ongoing from today to Thursday.

The firms, big industries but also small and medium enterprises, will showcase their products with the aim to start or consolidate trade relations with the Omani market and develop new partnership in the Sultanate. Some of them are also interested in meeting local agents and distributors or potential business partners for joint ventures.

The exhibitors will present high quality and specialized Italian products suitable for several applications, such as welded wire mesh products (Cavatorta Group spa); crusher buckets for the entire range of excavators (MB spa); fibreglass pipes for oil and petrochemical plants and water treatment (Cemis Condotte srl); wooden products (Riggi Legnami srl) and windows, including the double gazed ones (Pirrello Infissi srl).

The Italian Pavilion, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Muscat, has been organized by iGulf Ltd, the first international business development agency set with the specific mission to enhance commercial relations between Oman and Italy.

"We have been steadily operating in Muscat for more than two years - says carlo D'Andrea, Director of i-Gulf Ltd - promoting several trade delegations, in cooperation with the main Italian Chambers of Commerce and the entrepreneurial organizations. For this specific initiative we have on our side Confcommercio Lombardia, Confindustria Salerno and Pmi Sicilia."

i-Gulf is committed to stimulate the interest of the Italian entrepreneurs for Oman as a successful business and investment destination and points to open a direct access way to the Italian products and expertise. As part of their strategy to create a permanent and easy connection with Italy, iGulf ltd has recently set up a local company, Tricolore International llc, that specializes in promoting, importing and distributing authentic Made in Italy products. Tricolore is currently focused on three sectors: industrial products, interior design materials and food.

"Tricolore International itself - says Caterina Carannante, general manager of the company - is showcasing in the Italian Pavilion at InfraOman, presenting our interior design and furniture division. We are the sole distributor in the Sultanate of Oman of more than 30 prestigious Italian brands, offering the widest collection of unique but affordable items from Italy, such as marble, ceramics and tiles, bathroom fixtures and furnishings, lighting equipment, office and outdoor furniture, just to mention but a few."

Tricolore is presenting its Italian suppliers at the exhibition: among the others, Tulli Zuccari, one the Italian leading company for bathroom furnishings; Blumont, for exclusive hand-crafted masterpieces combining elegance and technology; Frascio, a world renowned brand for doors fixtures; Classuno, a manufacturer of unique chandeliers in Swarovski crystal and pure gold; Geoled, who specializes in LED lighting system for residential and commercial use.

Tricolore International addresses specifically the professional players in Oman, with the aim to be the ideal partner for consultants and contractors who are looking for the best combination of quality, design and price for their residential, commercial or tourist projects.

"Made in Italy is a lifestyle choice, appreciated all over the world and everywhere recognized as synonymous with excellence and superb quality, adds Caterina. Exclusive does not necessarily mean elitist or not affordable. We want to prove that the Made in Italy can be really suitable for all, able to meet each and every desire and need, still with an attention to the budget. The whole range of our products merges style, innovation, functionality and competitiveness and can be tailored to the specific project requirements, both aesthetically and economically."
