- PRESS RELEASE
Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the flagship Free Zone operation of Economic Zones World, has recently launched "JafzaSmart", its first smartphone applications for iPhone, Blackberry and Android phones.
With the launch of its new initiative, Jafza has further strengthened its existing online infrastructure. At present more than 90% of service requests delivered by Jafza are conducted online. Jafza is expected to make a large number of these services available through JafzaSmart during 2013.
Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO of Jafza, said: "Over the past decade we have systematically worked to implement and facilitate adoption of our growing suite of eservice offerings and today over 90% of our customer transactions originate on the eServices portal. Our periodic quality checks also indicate that customers are increasingly satisfied with our e-services and their user-friendliness. The launch of JafzaSmart is one more step forward in enhancing our customer's operational efficiency."
Fatma Salem, EVP & Commercial Director, EZW-UAE Region, commenting on the Jafza's new initiative said: "By providing our potential clients and customers with accessible, convenient, efficient and more environmentally friendly options, Jafza has improved business communications, enhanced operational control and quality in addition to optimizing growth."
This initiative is expected to make Jafza's existing menu of a large number of online services available through smart phones, making Jafza one of the most e-friendly free zones. Jafza has the distinction of being a Free Zone with one of the highest customer e-adoption rates in the UAE. Last year saw Jafza introducing a number of initiatives that brought value-addition to customers, including support services such as the e-License and e-Lease service. Also introduced was an online service for payment of customer invoices and a top-of-the-line interactive electronic map on the Jafza website, all geared to offer greater customer convenience.
