Jafza to participate in Gulfood 2013

Jafza seeks to attract more F&B majors interested in the region into the Free Zone.

Jafza is currently home to 428 multinationals in the Food and Beverage sector.

Food and Beverage companies in the Free Zone have posted robust growth in trade in 2012. Jafza companies expect the growth to further accelerate in 2013 and in the coming years. The growth is expected to be driven by rapid increase in population and disposable incomes in the region.

Commenting on the Jafza participation in Gulfood 2013 Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO, Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer of Economic Zones World, said, "Gulfood is the world's largest annual food and hospitality show. The event provides huge opportunities to Jafza to learn latest developments in the industry globally and also interact with business leaders, who are interested in the region. As a facilitator and business catalyst Jafza seeks to appraise the global leaders the Free Zone's efficacy as a hub to reach and serve the entire Middle East region."

He added, "The number of Food and Beverages companies in the Free Zone has seen four fold growth in the last 10 years rising from 107 in 2002 to 428 in 2012. We expect to attract some big names at the Gulfood this year."

Jafza Stand is located in the main concourse at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre opposite hall number 7.

From its strategically located stand Jafza will be providing extensive information on Jafza's key strengths and offerings to visitors who wish to set up their operation in the Free Zone to serve the region.

Jafza is home to a large number of leading multinationals including scores of Global Fortune 500 companies such as Unilever, Heinz, Kraft, P&G, Gulf Food Industries, Hunter Foods.

Gulfood is the largest industry event in the F&B sector in the region. More than 4,200 exhibitors from 110 countries are taking part this year.
