French outdoor advertising group JCDecaux has agreed to acquire 25% of its largest peer in Russia, Russ Outdoor, which makes $300m in annual sales, Reuters has reported. As part of the transaction, JCDecaux said it would contribute its Russian assets to Russ Outdoor, a business acquired by a consortium of investors led by VTB Capital private equity in 2011. Last May, JCDecaux was awarded the exclusive advertising contract for Concourse 3 in Dubai International, extending its partnership with Dubai Airports to 2020.
