Jeddah to build 67,000 residential units

Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Co, wholly-owned by the municipality of Jeddah, is planning to build 67,000 houses in two new fully-serviced residential districts in the eastern and northern outskirts of the city, Arab News has reported. The Salman Bay district in the north will be constructed on a 3m sq m area, while Wadi Al-Asla district in the east will cover an area of 130m sq m. The Salman Bay project will have 25,000 units, 24 mosques, one hospital, two polyclinics, water purification and water treatment plants, while the Wadi Al-Asla development will have 42,000 residential units, recreational parks, green areas and education, health, social and sport facilities.
