Jordan eases terms for 'decent housing' initiative
- Jordan: Tuesday, November 27 - 2012 at 05:42
The Jordanian cabinet has decided to allow citizens over 18 years old to apply for an apartment in the Decent Housing for Decent Living project, Jordan Times has reported. The decision revoked all previous conditions for buying an apartment in the 2008 Royal initiative, said public works and housing minister, Yahya Kisbi. Applicants can get a designation letter from the Housing and Urban Development Corp and apply through the authorised banks. Kisbi said no initial payment is required and the interest rate is subsidised to remain at 5% throughout the loan term.
