Jordan's e-health programme to go nationwide in seven years
- Jordan: Tuesday, September 04 - 2012 at 12:09
The Jordanian health ministry has signed an agreement with the 'Hakeem' e-health programme to implement the programme in public healthcare facilities around the country, Jordan Times has reported. Under the terms of the agreement, most public health centres and hospitals will be included in the programme within seven years. The programme aims to improve healthcare services by allowing health records to be stored and shared digitally, allowing healthcare providers to look up what medications are available in the ministry's stores so that they can prescribe the available drugs to patients.
