  • Jordan: Sunday, September 23 - 2012 at 09:54

The Jordanian cabinet has approved raising the tax on each Jordanian leaving the kingdom through land and sea border crossings from JD8 to JD10, Jordan Times has reported. Under an amended version of the border services fee bylaw, authorities will also start charging private non-Jordanian vehicles JD25 when leaving through land and sea border crossings. Cargo vehicles and public transport vehicles like buses and service (shared) taxis are exempted from departure taxes, in addition to cars belonging to diplomatic missions.
