Jordan tax revenues to exceed forecasts

The Jordanian cabinet has said tax revenues are likely to exceed the government's target for this year to hit JD3bn, Jordan Times has reported. Last year, tax revenues reached JD2.764bn and were higher by around 5% than the funds collected in the previous year. According to Income and Sales Tax Department, revenues collected by the department during the first eight months of the year are 6% higher than the same period of 2011.
