Jordan urges IT companies to merge for growth
- Jordan: Tuesday, October 02 - 2012 at 01:30
Jordanian minister of information and communications technology Atef Tal has said local IT firms need to merge and form larger firms if they wish to penetrate new regional markets and grow their businesses, Jordan Times has reported. "The Jordanian IT market is small and the number of companies is large compared to the market's needs," Tal told the daily. "The majority of companies rely on government spending on IT projects, but their businesses were affected as government spending on IT dropped due to the difficult financial conditions the country is going through," he said.
