Jordanian government acquires 51% of AutoBus

Jordanian government is set to acquire 51% of the shares in the Kuwaiti-owned Mutakamilah Transportation Co (AutoBus) to enhance the country's public transportation sector, Petra has reported, citing official sources. The cabinet decided to buy the shares for $10m, to be paid over 10 instalments, the sources said. The shares will go to the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), which currently holds 10% of the shares, making it the majority shareholder in AutoBus.
