Jordanian government to sell discounted energy-efficient light bulbs

The Jordanian cabinet has agreed to import 1.5 million energy-saving light bulbs, to be sold to Jordanians at 25% of their cost, Jordan Times has reported. According to the decision, the electricity distribution companies will manage the sale of the light bulbs to subscribers who consume less than 600 kilowatts per hour. Subscribers can pay for the light bulbs in five instalments, which will be added to the electricity bill.
