Jordan's petroleum refinery raises capital to $56.5m

The Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co (JPRC) has said its shareholders have endorsed a proposal by the board to capitalise JD8m ($11.3m) of retained earnings and distribute it as bonus shares at a rate of 25% to bring the company's capital up to JD40m, Jordan Times has reported. The general assembly also approved the allocation of JD2.55m to the company's compulsory reserve account and the distribution of cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 15%, it said.
