J.P. Morgan Private Bank names Jonathan Conner head of its Middle East team, hires Ramsey Jallad as senior banker

Mr. Conner, who was previously a senior banker on the Middle East team, will focus on increasing J.P. Morgan's footprint in the region and build on the strength of the firm's franchise in the Middle East. Based in Geneva, he will report to Pablo Garnica, head of J.P. Morgan Private Bank EMEA.

Mr. Jallad will primarily concentrate on advising and cultivating relationships with private clients in the Middle East region, with a particular focus on Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Based in London, he will report to Mr. Conner.

Mr. Conner joined J.P. Morgan in 2007 from Citigroup, where he served as Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup Private Bank. Prior to his role as Chief of Staff, he was based in New York and Geneva, managing private client relationships in the Middle East.

Mr. Conner began his banking career as an associate at J.P. Morgan in New York in 1988 before joining Citigroup, where he held a number of roles within its private bank and investment bank. Mr. Conner holds a bachelor's degree in international affairs from Lafayette College and an MBA from Colombia Business School.

Mr. Jallad joins J.P. Morgan from The Family Office where he was a relationship manager focusing on high and ultra-high net worth individuals in Kuwait and Bahrain. Prior to that, he was a Bahrain-based director at Standard Chartered Bank for three years.

Before that, he was an investment counselor at Citigroup Private Bank, focusing on clients based in Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and India. Mr. Jallad started his career at Merrill Lynch International as an assistant vice president in the private client strategies group.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Clark University.
