Ras Al Khaimah based pharmaceutical company, Julphar, hosted a delegation of business officials from Argentina. This visit was held in conjunction with the official State visit of Argentine President, Cristina de Kirchner, to the UAE, who also held talks with Julphar's Vice Chairman, HE Hassan Ahmed Al Akim, separately in Abu Dhabi.
The visitors made a tour of the Julphar Diabetes plant and were able to view first-hand the multi -million dollar, state-of-the-art insulin production facilities that Julphar opened last year.
Welcoming the Argentine delegation to Julphar Joe Saldanha, General Manager of Diabetes, said, "We are delighted to have our Argentine guests here at Julphar and are honoured that they have chosen to come and view our facilities with a view to furthering trade ties between our two countries."
"Our international expansion strategy includes a focus on markets such as South America and it has been of great interest to hear about the kinds of opportunities we may be able to work on in partnership with other Argentine companies," he added.
