Kaspersky launches online project to debunk virtualisation myths
- Middle East: Monday, May 21 - 2012 at 05:06
Global computer security brand Kaspersky has launched an online project aimed at tackling myths and misconceptions about security within virtual IT environments. Entitled "Be Ready", the resource provides live updates on current threats and protection information. Around 85% of businesses in Europe and North American have implemented server virtualisation and by the end of the year, 50% of the load on x86 servers will be virtualised. "Virtualization technologies are increasingly prominent on corporate networks around the world. While the advantages are universally acknowledged, the level of awareness when it comes to security solutions for virtual infrastructures is woefully inadequate," said Vladimir Udalov, Senior Corporate Product Marketing Manager at Kaspersky Lab.
