Katara, Embassy of People's Republic of China cooperate to promote Chinese culture

In celebration of diplomatic relations, Katara, the Cultural Village welcomed His Excellency Yue Xiaoyong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Qatar. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, gathered with the Ambassador to discuss the current and future cultural relationship between the two countries.

The main aim of the meeting is hosting joint cultural events in the future to portray the rich Chinese culture in Qatar.

The meeting which held talks about the opportunity of a joint collaboration between Katara and the Embassy of China celebrates the long lasting relationship which will ultimately allow for the initiation of various cultural events in Katara that intend to promote the Chinese culture to the people of Qatar.

Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, commented, "This initiative allows us to celebrate and further build upon our strong relationship with China. Katara will showcase a number of events and exhibitions to commemorate the diplomatic relations and we are extremely delighted to be partnering with the Embassy of China to promote the Chinese Culture locally."

The meeting was attended by Mr. Darwish Saleh Al Shibany, Manager of Marketing and International Relations and Acting Manager of Cultural Affairs, Katara, Mrs. Malika Mohamed Al Shraim, Manager of PR and Communications, Katara, and Mr. Omar Ali Al Mannai, General Manager's Office Manager, Katara.
