KEPCO awards Wärtsilä service deal for tri-fuel power plant

Finland-based Wärtsilä has been selected to service Jordan's Amman Asia Electric Power's power plant, the world's largest tri-fuel power plant. The deal includes a 15-year Parts Supply Agreement, as well as a 5-year Technical Service Agreement with KEPCO Plant Service & Engineering Co, the operations and maintenance contractor for the power plant. The Al Manakher plant project (573 MW) is currently under construction. Works are undertaken by a consortium headed by Wärtsilä which won the turnkey contract to build the plant in October 2012.
