Khalifa University wins award at Ellucian Live Event

Khalifa University announced that its Banner Steering Committee received an award for 'Building Dynamic Learning Communities through Enhanced Institutional Insight and Performance Management'.
Banner refers to Banner Relationship Management software, which provides a core constituent relationship management (CRM) capability for educational institutions, which allows them to strengthen and enrich connections with their prospects, students, and alumni.
Khalifa University President, Dr. Tod Laursen, said, "This award demonstrates that Khalifa University is a leader in the Middle East North Africa region in regard to our full and vigorous use of Banner, and for our leadership in regional customization. I am particularly pleased to see our excellent staff, from several different areas our administrative and academic units, recognized in this way. This achievement is the product of the quality of teamwork our employees pride themselves in."
Ellucian Vice President, Mathew Boice, added, "Every year Ellucian congratulates an elite group of achievers from the Middle East region who are recognised by their peers and by Ellucian for outstanding innovation or contribution to higher and vocational education at their institution and to the benefit of the region. The award acknowledges Khalifa University's successful implementation of Banner by Ellucian and Ellucian Analytics to help create a culture of creative enquiry and performance. The committee noted that Khalifa University had not only put in place the ICT necessary to support this initiative, but there is institutional commitment to the organisational structure and resources needed to deliver on this objective."
Dr. Laursen continued, "Khalifa University is always seeking ways to improve our student's educational experience, and using data and information management systems is just one of the ways we can promote student success."
The Ellucian committee also noted the University's success in establishing a significant number of efficiency focused operational reports in Finance and HR as well as management dashboards for Finance and HR managers.
