KHDA says most private schools in Dubai rated below 'good'
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, May 01 - 2013 at 05:24
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has said that most private schools in Dubai continue to remain below 'good' quality, as school education in the emirate noted limited improvements last year, Khaleej Times has reported. A total of 143 schools have been inspected, 80 of which continue to provide a quality of education below the expected 'good' level for Dubai, according to the results of the fifth cycle of school inspections by the KHDA's Dubai School Inspection Bureau (DSIB). Major areas of concern remain the teaching of Arabic as an additional language to expat students and the inclusion of children with special education needs (SEN), the report said. UK and Indian curriculum schools are the most popular among students in Dubai, it noted.
