Khimji Ramdas honoured for its support of SANAD

The Khimji Ramdas group was recently felicitated with an award by the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) in recognition of its support towards SANAD initiatives.

The award was presented by His Excellency Al Shaikh Al Fafdhal Bin Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Harthi, Secretary General of Ministers' Cabinet, on the occasion of the SANAD Awards for Entrepreneurs and Sponsors, which was held recently.

KR has been a stalwart supporter of SANAD initiatives over the last 10 years since the program's inception. This acknowledgement by the MoM recognizes the conglomerate's active support and encouragement for burgeoning entrepreneurs all over the country. Heading the KR-SANAD initiative is Pankaj Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas.

"We express heartfelt gratitude towards the MoM for recognizing our humble contribution towards initiatives implemented under the SANAD program. The Khimji Ramdas group always derives pride and satisfaction from playing an active role in bringing to fruition the hopes and dreams of those enterprising young Omanis who aspire to entrepreneurial success through the SANAD program," he said.

Winning the award for best project in service activities was Ahmed Bin Yousef Al Siyabi. Commenting on the occasion he said, "I would like to thank His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos Bin Said for his dedicated support to Oman's youth through visionary programs such as SANAD. I would also like to thank everyone involved in SANAD. A special thanks goes out to KR for including me in their Calendar 2013 project. Finally, I am immensely grateful to everyone whose support helped me reach such great success and achievement in my professional career."

The SANAD program was launched under the visionary directives of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos bin Said to create and enable opportunities for Oman's youth in the job market and the entrepreneurial sphere. Since its inception, SANAD has rapidly become a highly visible and successful nationwide initiative that has resulted in the creation of a plethora of business and employment opportunities for the country's youth.

The SANAD program fits right in with KR's various social and entrepreneurial initiatives. A similar forthcoming endeavor is the KR 2013 calendar that signifies the company's tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Oman's talented youth. The calendar casts the spotlight on Omani youth across various sectors who have made a name for themselves in chosen fields of work or enterprise. The upcoming calendar is an extension of KR's fundamental philosophy of supporting hard work, dedication, drive and talent. With the motto 'People Development' as the defining principle for all its socially driven initiatives, the Khimji Ramdas Group has been leading the way forward in encouraging and recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit of this resilient young nation.
