Khimji Ramdas Group rewards 2 decades and more of service

The Khimji Ramdas Group added another chapter to its people centric policy in a recent event that honoured employees who have been stalwarts of the group for the last 25 years. The group paid tribute to a total of 51 employees in acknowledgement of their untiring efforts and dedication.

Ten employees were recipients of the 'Twenty five years long service Award' and 40 others received the award for completing 20 years of service by the end of the year 2011.

Commenting on the occasion, Anil Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas Group, said, "We believe that our employees are our greatest strength, as we have demonstrated it in numerous ways through our various employee driven programmes. Today, the results and rewards of our commitment towards nurturing our employees stand before you in the form of 20 plus years of committed and faithful service. We take immense joy and pride in recognizing such unwavering dedication and we feel honoured to reward our employees who have contributed ceaselessly and selflessly to the organisation's goals."

The group made special mention of dedicated Omani employees who have been part of the company's growth and milestone strides over the last 2 decades. The event facilitated Khimji Ramdas Group employees from Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa, Sur and Salalah.

Said Rajive Ahuja, Head of Corporate Communications, KR Group, "Our corporate motto of 'In your triumph is ours' aptly depicts the commitment to all its stakeholders, particularly our employees. As a socially conscious corporate entity, we recognize the importance of leading by example, and events such as these give us an opportunity to reward our greatest asset 'our employees'. The event is a clear example of how much we value each and every employee regardless of their echelons in the organization. For it is through the dedication, perseverance and hard work of a 4000 strong workforce that KR is well respected today for its professionalism and trustworthiness."

Initiated in March 2010, the KR long service award has been an annual feature on the corporate's social calendar and is an apt reminder of the organizations enduring commitment to its staff welfare and community service.
At the heart of all endeavors is the group's credo of Trust, Care and Commitment.

Underpinned by its commitment to its employees, the 142-year-old People Powered Conglomerate has emerged as the Sultanate's leading Business Corporation with 37 different ventures across diverse categories including Building and construction related services and supplies, defense products and services, fast moving consumer goods, food commodities, home appliances, lifestyle products, luxury retail, restaurant services, shipping services, logistics telecommunications and IT services.
