King Abdullah scholarship programme extended

The Saudi cabinet has approved the extension of the King Abdullah Scholarships Programme for its third phase of five years starting from November 2015, Arab News has reported. Currently, there are over 150,000 Saudi students studying at premier universities across the world under the programme, which the king launched in 2005, said the higher education minister, Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari. "This is the highest percentage of students studying under government grants in the world, and the third highest in number of students studying abroad, after China and India."
