King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre first in Middle East to use CareFusion Knowledge Portal for medication safety

The CareFusion Knowledge Portal takes data from the hospital's Pyxis technologies and quickly translates it into actionable information. Through the intuitive application, everything that a hospital needs to manage and gain insights from its medication dispensing data is just a few clicks away.

The Knowledge Portal enables a hospital to quickly and easily review dispensing data to identify stock-out trends, potential diversion activities and other metrics that can help optimize the medication use process at the hospital.

The CareFusion Knowledge Portal is an application that is installed on the hospital's health care information system and can be accessed from any computer at any time. The performance indicators included in the software package allow for trending and continuous monthly monitoring of a variety of activities including transaction-level reporting for auditing of activity, executive summaries with easy access to detailed information, hospital-wide or health system wide benchmarking and pre-built, flexible queries and reports.

The CareFusion Knowledge Portal is also capable of capturing and analyzing data from CareFusion's Alaris infusion products and AVEA ventilators. These optional modules can all be linked together in one analytics platform for a hospital's dispensing, infusion and respiratory data.
