KIPCO participates in 29th NUKS-USA Conference

Kuwait Projects Company - participated in the 29th Conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students - USA Branch (NUKS-USA). The event, for which KIPCO is the Platinum Sponsor for the second year, is being held under the auspices of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah in Washington, DC.
She added, "Working in the private sector is not without challenges. However, the satisfaction that comes from the opportunities to learn and grow every day is immense. At KIPCO, the management invests in youth and provides them with the support they need to develop their skills and to achieve their aspirations. This contributes not only to the development of our company, but also to that of our people and the economy of our country."
KIPCO also participated in the 'Economic Forum' held as part of the event, and was represented by Mr Bader Al Othman, Unit Head - Financial Institutions Division at Burgan Bank, the largest member of the KIPCO Group.
During the forum, Mr Al Othman discussed a range of topics with the panelists. He highlighted Burgan Bank's support for the State Development Plan, the impact of the global financial crisis on the banking sector, as well as the importance of corporate governance.
On the topic of recruitment, he said, "Burgan Bank's innovative human resource programmes are directed at reaching out to young Kuwaitis and encourage them to choose banking as a promising career path. Burgan Bank's internship and training programmes help develop the skills and knowledge of young people, as well as enhancing their communication abilities and their willingness to work within a team."
In addition to participation in the Economic Forum, KIPCO will be sponsoring the Closing Ceremony. Marina FM, a member of the KIPCO Group, is a Media Sponsor of the event and is covering its activities.
Representatives of KIPCO Group companies are present at the Job Fair, held alongside the conference, to outline the range of career opportunities awaiting graduating students in Kuwait's private sector.
