Komatsu delegation visits GTHE

A delegation from Komatsu Ltd. paid a courtesy visit to their partners in the UAE, Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment (GTHE), to strengthen their 30-year partnership.

Komatsu, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a global leading manufacturer and sales company of construction and mining equipment, utilities and industrial machinery including components such as diesel engines and hydraulics components. GTHE, a flagship company in the Galadari Brothers Group, is the exclusive dealer of Komatsu products in the UAE.

Mr. Abdulla Al Shaibani, Chairman of the Galadari Brothers Group, received Mr. KunioNoji, President and CEO of Komatsu, in his office at Emirates Towers on February 5, 2013. Komatsu officials accompanying Mr. Noji were Mr. HidetakaKita, Executive Office - President of Aftermarket Business Division, Mr. TakehikoYoshioka, General Manager - Overseas Marketing, and Mr. Hisataka Takao, Managing Director - Middle East. The Komatsu officials also met with senior management of GTHE and toured their facility in Al Quoz.

Mr. Khaled Soliman, Group CEO for the Galadari Brothers Group, said: "We are greatly honored by this courtesy visit that underscores the key role our partnership with Komatsu has played in the development of the UAE's construction industry over the past years. As the UAE embarks on a new and long-term phase of development, Komatsu's role continues to grow in importance in making the UAE one of the most attractive countries in the world in terms of investment opportunities."

GTHE has plans of modernizing its existing facilities in the country. The company has already set the plan in motion by opening new branches in the Western region and Fujairah. With an impressive product portfolio, GTHE is seen as launching itself to meet most of the market needs. So is Komatsu. As a leading construction and earthmoving equipment manufacturer, Komatsu has a round-the-clock support system to keep the operations running smoothly. Komatsu's immediate plans are to set up a regional training center for the Middle East and to augment an already extensive product/after sales parts availability throughout the region.

Furthermore, GTHE's distribution network in the UAE is considered a benchmark in efficiency with functional branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah and Al Ain. Beginning this year, the company decided to shift its head office to Abu Dhabi to better cope with the market situation. The market for heavy equipment is considered more promising in the Western region owing to its proximity to the oil fields. Most of the top management of GTHE now sits in the UAE capital, which also help the company foster a closer relationship with its customers.
