The Khimji Ramdas Group has long since been hailed as pioneers in trade and commerce; but they've also etched themselves in the hearts and minds of Oman's people for their dedication to humanity.
The endeavor has always been an annual feature on the group's CSR calendar, only this year it has grown to touch the hearts of more than 400 families. Each food pack will contain everyday staples such as rice, cooking oil, canned fruit, tea sachets and instant drinks.
The group's philanthropic activities also extend to the Women's Association in Samail, which will receive 500 rice bags to be distributed around the region in the Wilayat of Samail.
The initiative also reached the "Silent Volunteer Group" which was given foodstuff for distribution to more than 600 families.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajive Ahuja, Head of Corporate Communications, Khimji Ramdas says, "At KR, we strongly believe in giving back to society. It has always been our endeavour to contribute to the society at large and make a positive difference in the lives of people around us. The month of giving is a special occasion to share and support those who are less fortunate."
Says Haider Al Lawati, board member and head of media and communication at the Oman Association for the Disabled," It is no secret that the Khimji Ramdas Group has been an active participant in all areas of corporate social responsibility. We have received continuous and sustained support from them in more ways than one. This year, we are especially grateful that their kindness will reach out to a larger number of deserving families."
Expressing thanks on behalf of the Silent Volunteer Group, Zahra Al Hinai, the Group Founder, "The Silent Volunteer Group would like to thank Khimji Ramdas for their consideration and thoughtfulness for the needy especially during the Holy month of Ramadan. Words cannot express our gratitude towards Khimji Ramdas for their contribution."
