Kuwait real estate sales up 16%

According to a report by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the country's real estate sales jumped 16% year-on-year to KD3.1bn last year, Saudi Gazette has reported. Aggregate sales in the residential sector reached KD1.7bn, up 20% year-on-year, averaging 657 transactions per month, compared with a 494 average in 2011. Residential sector sales rose by KD117m year-on-year to KD204m in December, while sales in the investment segment climbed 16% to KD1.2bn in 2012, the report said.
