- Kuwait: Monday, October 22 - 2012 at 04:13
The Kuwaiti government has issued a decision regulating the sale of energy beverages in the local market, Kuna has reported. The decision bans the sale of the beverages to children under the age of 16, and follow in the footsteps of the US Food and Drug Administration, the World Health Organisation and standards applied in other states of the GCC. The government also told producers of these beverages to place warnings on their cans that the drinks could affect pregnant women, diabetes and high-blood pressure-affected individuals, those with caffeine allergies and children affected with behavioural disorders.
