Kuwait Yacht Show officially inaugurated at Marina Crescent

Organized by PH7 Events, the first edition of the Kuwait Yacht Show was officially inaugurated at Marina Crescent on January 28th under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Salman Sabah Al Salem Al Homoud Al Sabah, Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs and in the presence of dignitaries and VIPs representing various private and public sectors corporations.
Commenting on the opening PH7 Managing Director, Zeina Mokaddam, said, "Today is just the beginning, but it also a monumental day because holding an annual yacht show of international stature in Kuwait is a long-held dream for all, and now it is finally materializing in 2013."
The show is designed to showcase the marine industry encompassing all areas from leisure to luxury lifestyle, and Mokaddam confirmed that the first edition of show arrives in line with the growth that the marine leisure sector in Kuwait has witnessed over recent years.
She continued, "No longer is it necessary for locally-based yacht owners to look beyond our own shores for the finest in marine sales and support."
Mokaddam praised headline sponsors, Wataniya Telecom and Burgan Bank, for their initiatives in supporting the show while commenting that both are held as leading examples of private sector companies with the vision to promote leading events which reflect positively on the economy and help in promoting Kuwait.
Talking about their decision to sponsor the Kuwait Yacht Show, Public Relations Manager at Wataniya Telecom Fatima Dashti emphasised the company's commitment to support and encourage any effort that celebrates the high status of Kuwait today and in particular this one which also reflects Kuwait's proud heritage. "Wataniya is showcasing its latest services and products on our booth at the exhibition. As part of the on-land display Wataniya is hosting a VIP lounge where a team of service professionals will welcome customers and respond to their queries."
Additionally, Bashir Jaber, Burgan Bank's Assistant General Manager - Corporate Communications, said, "Kuwait has probably the most vibrant maritime market in the Arab World. Kuwaitis are dedicated to experiencing many sea-related adventures and with new products meeting their needs, the industry in Kuwait has grown to a new level. With the current rapid development of the marine industry across the country, the expectation is for more power boats, large and small, to make their home in this nation where sand and sea are inextricably linked."
The show offers visitors a chance to explore the finest elements of the boating lifestyle, to view the industry's newest brands and models, and to shop for boats and marine accessories. It is the first of its kind to gather under one roof everything that is needed for a unique marine experience. The on-land showcase features boats, marine accessories and high-end products, whilst the on-water display features luxury yachts.
The Kuwait Yacht Show is certain to attract the crowds by providing something for all boating, fishing, watersport, diving and travel enthusiasts. In doing so it will place Kuwait on the international marine-sector map as a yacht show of distinction.
The Kuwait Yacht Show witnesses the gathering of an elite group, with participants including leading figures in the Kuwait marine industry.
