Kuwait's IT spending forecast to rise

Research and Markets has said that Kuwait, the third-largest computer market in the GCC region, has recovered from the economic slowdown, and local IT spending is forecast to record healthy growth in 2012, Saudi Gazette has reported. IT services sales are expected to jump 9% to $291m this year from $267m in 2011, as the government is keen to act as an agent of new technology adoption in Kuwait's industry sector, the report said. Computer hardware sales would also increase 9% to $394m in 2012 from $362m last year, it added.
