Lebanon's real estate activity improved in September

According to data from the Lebanese finance ministry, the country's real estate sector has recorded a monthly improvement in September 2012, although activity was weaker in the first three quarters than it was last year, The Daily Star has reported. The number of real estate transactions reached 6,610 during the month of September, up from 5,809 in the previous month, with the value of total transactions rising 4.2% to $830m from just over $700m in August.
