LG launches new innovative 'Door-in-Door' refrigerator in KSA

A proprietary LG's own design, this new Door in Door (DID) Refrigerators opens with the simple push of a button, giving consumers quick access to their favorite snacks and drinks.

In addition to access items with ease, this sealed Door in Door compartment prevents the Refrigerator's chilled air from escaping, helping to keep food fresh for longer periods.

"LG's latest user-friendly refrigerators now provide more storage space and a number of new convenience-oriented features," said Mr. John Lee, President of LG Electronics in Saudi Arabia.

"LG has specifically focused on advanced insulation technologies, and this expertise enabled the largest capabilities. The Door in Door, double layered door system and new organization systems are clear illustrations of LG's commitment to bringing truly smart product designs to the customer's," added Mr. John Lee.

This new Door in Door Refrigerator is designed by Karim Rashid, a well known top designer maestro. It has an elegant design and finish with features that cater the Saudi consumers. The linear compressor (which has lesser friction points compared with conventional compressors) efficiently controls the cooling power and reduces internal friction to reduce energy consumption, said Mr. Sanginn Lee, senior product manager for Home Appliances.

Along with the main Door in Door feature and large capacity of 29.8 Cubic feet, the other key specifications are Hygiene Filter (a four Step filter to clean the air inside the Refrigerator compartment), Vacuum Fresh (Air tight vegetable box to keep food fresh for longer time), Moving door Ice maker (Ice maker shifted to the door to make more space in Freezer compartment) and moving basket (the basket can be moved to keep large bottles or drinks in DID compartment) added Mr. Sanginn Lee.
