LINKonLINE acquires the diversified portal Arabia.com and take Dubai center for its headquarter

LINKonLINE, one of the largest Arabic online publishing companies in the Middle East and North Africa operating under Orascom Telecommunication Holding, announced the acquisition of Arabiaa.com, one of the most important Arabic web portals that has existed for many years.
Mostafa Kamel, Managing Director of LINKonLINE, said : "We chose Dubai to be the hub of launching the new look of Arabia.com and a permenant location for our headquarter based on the strength of the UAE as a business and commercial hub, and Dubai's particular strengths as a media centre.
Kamel added that LINKonLINE shows a great attention towards establishing a strong presence in the Gulf region as a hub to re-launch Arabia.com portal, the thing which falls within its strategy that aims at serving a wide range of internet users especially people aged between 20-49 years-old. Those who show great interest towards knowing the latest news and updates on sports, entertainment, Technology and cars.
He noted that, LINKonLINE works regularly on studying the needs of internet users though conducting studies and researches. Recent figures show that the percentage of internet users has reached 60% in the GCC and 25% in Egypt.
