Mafraq Hospital hosts Medical Conference

Mafraq Hospital, which is owned and operated by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC 'SEHA', held its 3rd annual internal medical conference at the Abu Dhabi Country Club, Abu Dhabi. During the conference, Mafraq Hospital also awarded its outstanding physicians for excellence in research, education, quality of service, business development, community support and leadership.
The conference, which took the form of a gala dinner, aimed to create a platform for the exchange of latest research and best practices in the field of internal medicine. The initiative is in line with Mafraq Hospital's role as a key player in Abu Dhabi's growing healthcare sector and a leading provider of world-class healthcare services.

Dr Yaman also spoke about the balanced scorecard and its impact on physician productivity which in turn impacts positively on patient satisfaction and quality care. New services have opened recently at Mafraq Hospital in order to meet the needs of the hospital's community. These include Well Baby clinic, Dressing clinic, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, Hypertension clinic, Podiatry services, Allergy clinic 'Rheumatology', Osteoporosis program and various Saturday clinics for Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Vascular, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Neurology and Urology.

•Research: Dr. Mustafa Al Maini Deputy Chief Medical Officer & Chief of Rheumatology Services.
•Education: Dr. Waseem Fathalla Consultant Pediatric Neurologist- Pediatric Neurology.
•Quality of Service: Dr. Eiman Al Zaabi Consultant Hemato pathologist- Laboratory Medicine.
•Business Development: Dr. Sleiman Gebran Consultant Pediatric Surgeon- Pediatric Surgery.
•Community Support: Dr. Taisser Atrak Consultant Neonatologist- Pediatrics Department.
•Leadership: Dr. Zujajah Hassan Consultant Physician- Internal Medicine.
Guest speaker, Ali Al Saloom, from Maestro Enterprises provided an inspirational talk on how culture understanding and appreciation is crucial in building a solid relationship between colleagues among themselves at the hospital and with others in the UAE society.
