Mafraq Hotel Abu Dhabi supports SEHA's 'World Kidney Day' holds in Abu Dhabi

Fifty children from various local schools across Abu Dhabi were invited to attend the workshops that focused on raising awareness about kidney health through fun and interactive activities.

Educational leaflets and material, prepared by Mafraq Hotel, highlighting the importance of kidney health and associated health problems worldwide were distributed to children attending to encourage their involvement.

"We are honored to be involved with 'World Kidney Day' event at Mafraq Hospital. At Mafraq Hotel we are constantly looking for ways to engage with the community and generate awareness on important issues, particularly among children. This event proved a perfect opportunity to touch on such an important issue affecting so many worldwide, and to allow us to help in educating the next generation on the benefits of a healthier lifestyle," said Mario Scotto, General Manager Mafraq Hotel.

During the interactive sessions, the children were encouraged to participate in the talks in order to promote a forum for discussion on the issue, their understanding of it, and the importance of exercise and a healthy diet. Mafraq Hotel also provided the children with complimentary healthy food meal packs, in order to bring attention to the benefits of healthy eating.

"The idea behind this event was to educate children on the lifelong importance of a healthy lifestyle, comprising of healthy food and regular exercise.The event was a remarkable success, and an ideal platform on which experts could share vital health advice with children which they can imbibe into their future way of life," said Loubna Al Braiki, Patient Experience Manager SEHA.
