Magic Planet at Playnation extends Gaming Lounge with over 120 game stations for PlayStation, Xbox and PC's

Magic Planet's Gaming Lounge at Playnation, Mirdif City Centre has extended its existing Sony PlayStation entertainment offerings to include Xboxes and PC's, totaling 120 networked game stations which are dedicated to previewing the latest interactive and multi-player games.

To celebrate the addition of the PC networked games, the Magic Planet Gaming Lounge held the first Nissan Gran Turismo (GT) Academy Regional Final on the 9th and 10th of January 2013, giving 22 regional finalists a chance to become professional race drivers! Out of the 22 finalists, eight of them will head to Silverstone (UK) to compete with other finalists for the grand prize of a three-month racing camp in the UK. Six GT5 pods were used on day one and two of the challenge to assess the finalists virtual racing skills. It's tough, it's challenging, this is Nissan GT Academy turning virtual racers into real life professional racers.

The eight winners of the Nissan GT Academy regional finals were Abdullah Al Qaoud - Kuwait, Ali Sadiq Al Yousef - KSA, Aseel Mohammed Nasr - KSA, Haitham El Fakhouri - Lebanon, Salman Al Khater - Qatar, Sam Zian - UAE, Steve Smuts - UAE, and Tarek Khedr - Egypt; all eight will make their way to Silverstone in March to compete against eight from the South African team.

The Gaming Lounge is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm from Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on from Friday to Saturday.
