A number of the exhibitors, representing prestigious regional and international companies, expressed their pleasure to return back to ADIHEX and their positive expectations of participating in the 10th edition of ADIHEX (Abu Dhabi 2012), especially that their presence in Abu Dhabi exhibition has become an annual tradition, since it is the biggest unique exhibition in the of Middle East.

Similarly, Tamreen, which is preparing to showcase its latest inventions and creative surprises in ADIHEX, so are exhibitors of companies known in that field such as International Golden Group (IGG), MP3 International, and Fausti Stefano SRL.

Fausti company for hunting firearms is owned by an Italian family and run by three sisters; Elena, Giovanna and Barbra. The three sisters started running the company after their father's retirement in the early 1990s, and since then they have been known as "gun sisters". The company's products are sold all over the world, and they have strong presence in Italy, Russia and USA.

Each of the three sisters masters all details related to firearms industry, as they worked in the factory since they finished their college education. Barbra stressed that all Fausti firearms are manually assembled.

Fausti Company started participating in ADIHEX five years ago, as most of its clients in the region are from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Kuwait.

"I think that Arab men are very polite and have fine taste in choosing firearms. Therefore, many of our clients in the region visit us in ADIHEX every year. The high quality in Fausti guns attracts our clients in the Arab world as we make special pieces that match the Arab taste to showcase in ADIHEX every year," Barbra added.

She said that Fausti guns are not only masterpieces, but also usable high quality firearms: "Our guns are characterized with their elegant design and extreme precision in terms of their details, and they are characterized as well with balance and accuracy as 80% of our customers use their guns regularly."

Barbra, the youngest sister in the Fausti family, said that their father did not expect that the three sisters would, one day, run the company when he started it in 1948: "My father Stefano Fausti wanted to have a boy but he had three girls. Therefore, he decided to break all familiar traditions in upbringing girls, and took us with him to hunting trips and taught us how to use guns, which helped us run the company later on. I remember my father telling us that we won't be forced into manufacturing guns but we have to know everything about it."

ABU Dhabi-based MP3 International Company that works in the field of supplying the Gulf area with weaponry and ammunitions has a distinct participation in ADIHEX. Since its opening in 2004, the company has gained a good reputation through working with many authorities in the area. Its activities include supplying firearms and equipment used in different sports such as shooting and hunting with rifles, pistols, ammunition and special outfits.

MP3 International company represents international brands such as Baines and Jolzer, Blaser, Anschutz, Beretta, SIG Sauer, Heckler and of Koch, Smith and Wesson (for pistols), Norma, RWS, and Le bois and Jaguar (ammunition), and Zeiss, and Bushnell, Lisa and Chmido Bender (lenses), and many of the well-known manufacturers of accessories such as leather and boxes of wooden guns from Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain.

Hunting with rifles maybe one of the best examples of combining traditions and technology in such activities. The office manager of MP3 International, Ahmed Kamal, said that although hunting is a traditional sport, modern technology plays a major role in its development.

"Generally, hunting depends on simplicity and interaction with nature. Simpler and more traditional firearms are used in hunting. Technology helps in defining the quantity of the required gunpowder and type of used metal, which increases the weapon accuracy and decrease its weight. Also, technology provides us diversity in firearms to match type and size of the prey, and to make hunting easier for beginners. Concerning future firearms, I think they will be more diverse, accurate and lighter," Kamal added.
