Marks & Spencer is located in the heart of Abdoun area at TAJ Lifestyle, Amman's latest retail destination, which is now the home to M&S' new 900 square meter store which features a huge range of limited clothing to please Amman's stylish and trendy residents . With the New store decor that highlights the stores sub-brands' look & feel, allowing customers to shop through M&S' extensive range of stylish women's fashion with comfort and ease.
The British Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Peter Millet said: "I am absolutely thrilled to stand here today as witness to the opening of the first M&S store in Jordan. As an iconic British brand synonymous with quality and value, M&S will be a first class addition to TAJ Lifestyle in Amman. I look forward to checking out their latest fashion lines at the fashion hub here in Taj Life style in Amman."
As they initiate their first business division in the Jordanian market through opening the first Marks & Spencer store, Al Futtaim, the UAE based group, is focusing on bringing both quality and price, hence enhancing the Jordanian retail market and adding to the Jordanian shoppers experience. This is the first stage of a potentially much larger investment by the Al Futtaim Group which stands only to benefit the Jordanian economy and bring more of Al Futtaim great brands to the market. "This step is both very welcome and much needed in the current economic climate." the British ambassador remarked. Furthermore, Al Futtaim Group has set its strategy to fully train and employ Jordanian staff to work at its store; M&S currently employs 21 competent Jordanians ready to serve customers at the highest standards, a number that will grow with the expansion and growth of M&S in Jordan. Al Futtaim Group aims at bringing more of its franchises and business divisions to the Jordanian market, hence contributing to the development of the Jordanian economy by increasing the number of investments, and vacancies in the Kingdom.
