- PRESS RELEASE
Mashrek International School has become the first and only IB World school in Jordan authorized to offer three International Baccalaureate progammes from KG1 to Grade 12. Recently obtaining verification for the Primary Years programme is a testimony to the school's continuously growing reputation and a credit to its passionate, tightly-knit and dedicated community of administrators, teachers, students and parents.
Mr. Bassam Malhas, the school's General Director said "At Mashrek International School we made the decision to only implement the International Baccalaureate Programmes because we believe that it would be significantly challenging to our students and will best prepare them for university, their career path and interaction with real life. Our students have not only maintained a greater span of study and exploration but they also acquired fundamental skills of communication, analysis, critical thinking, teamwork, inquiry, organization and leadership. We strongly believe that the three IB programmes we offer from K to 12 will give them a greater chance of success at university and beyond. "On recently obtaining the authorization for the PYP, Dr. Hana Al Nasser Malhas, the School Principal adds "This attests that the IB not only recognizes our strong academic structure and competence, but also acknowledges our commitment to raising responsible and committed students who are caring and respectful who have full ownership of their learning within and beyond the school community. Contributing with our daily actions to create a better community and a better world is the essence of a 21st century education. Our school prepares children to become engaged global citizens who can effectively meet the challenges and opportunities facing the world today."
