MCA-Jordan to re-tender Zarqa water network project

The Millennium Challenge Account-Jordan (MCA-Jordan) has rejected all bids received to restructure and rehabilitate the water network in Zarqa governorate, Jordan Times has reported. The bids were cancelled because the offered prices exceeded the allocated money in the grant's budget, which was provided by the US government's Millennium Challenge Corp (MCC). MCA-Jordan will re-tender the project early next year in traditional construction packages instead of the previous more costly design-build packages.
