MD and CEO of DEWA meets a representative from RWE Technology

The meeting is one of a series of visits by international companies to DEWA.

The meeting was attended by Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and Albertus Kleinveld, Director of Special Projects at DEWA.

Al Tayer welcomed Dr. Moll and emphasized the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation with RWE, the two parties established a joint venture to provide energy consultancy in the region.

"Business potential between DEWA and RWE has endless possibilities, whether in sharing operational expertise, or developing innovative technologies to emphasise the significance of international public-private partnership," said Al Tayer.

The two partners in the Joint venture will utilise their extensive experience to improve operating processes by using the latest technologies. This partnership will also allow an opportunity to provide consultancy service.

RWE Technology GmbH will provide its expertise as an international project and engineering specialist in the power plant sector. Its capabilities include project management and implementation, international sourcing of major components, and quality assurance.

The new joint venture also provides a comprehensive joint advisory service in the field of energy for not only energy suppliers and major industrial projects in the region, but also government authorities and private sector investors and developers at the MENA level as well.

At the end of the visit Dr. Wolfgang Moll thanked Al Tayer for the warm reception and briefing him closely on the work of DEWA and its projects.
