  • PRESS RELEASE

Meraas, a Dubai-based development company, announced the launch of an 'Outlet Village' that will take shape over 20,000 sq metre area.

Unlike traditional 'outlet' malls, the Outlet Village will retail high-end luxury brands at discounted prices.

The announcements follows Meraas' successful showcase of two new developments at Cityscape Global 2012 - 'The Beach' and 'Island 2'. The Beach is a retail, food and beverage and entertainment destination that will take shape at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) between the beachfront and existing promenade. 'The Island 2' is a mixed-use development designed as a high-end boutique resort featuring low rise apartment buildings and a marina.

Construction of the 'Outlet Village' is scheduled to begin in 2013, with the large format destination set to host a total of 160 top-tier outlet stores. Phase-one of the development will feature 100 high-end brands, while Phase-two will consist of 60 additional outlet stores. With Dubai's tourism industry marking exponential growth, the 'Outlet Village' is envisioned to emerge as an iconic and a must-visit destination for visitors and residents alike.

The project's concept of the 'Outlet Village' takes inspiration from a European village.

Located at the intersection of Al Khail and Um Suqeim road, 'Outlet Village' will offer hassle-free access from across Dubai and the neighbouring emirates.
