Mercedes-Benz named 'Favourite Automotive Brand' by Oman's top management

For the second year in a row, the top level manage-ment in Oman have voted Mercedes-Benz as their favourite automotive brand, in an annual survey conducted by a leading local business magazine to identify the Best Brands in Oman for 2012.

Results were tabulated by the International Marketing and Research Con-sultancy (IMRC) from the responses of 100 company Chairmen, CEOs, and General Managers, who were asked to spontaneously recall an automobile brand.

With ten points given for each brand named, the luxury German au-tomotive manufacturer - represented by Zawawi Trading Company in Oman - topped a list of ten others to take the honours.

The results also show an improvement on last year's ranking, with Mercedes-Benz moving further ahead of competitors in key categories.

2013 has started with a flourish for ZTC, with the recent new arrival of the Mercedes-Benz GL seven-seater SUV in the Sultanate already giving rea-son for celebration, coming off the back of a very successful 2012 that has seen new appointments, the opening of new premises and even an SU-Venture off-road experience taking place in Oman.

Delighted by the Best Brand accolade, Craig Hardie, CEO - Automotive, Zawawi Trading Company, said, "The results of the survey once again af-firm the affinity our customers have for Mercedes-Benz in the Sultanate, and further underlines our position as the leading luxury automotive brand. The persistent efforts throughout 2012 have paid off handsomely and we look forward to 2013 with continued optimism, as the three pointed star continues to shine very brightly in Oman."
